Shipping policies
Shipments will be made within 2 weeks of the order being placed, barring any major supply problems. That said, we make every effort to ship every other day (except on weekends).
Shipment times quoted by USPS are estimates, and are beyond our control. Please contact us if a package is taking much longer (i.e. 2 times) than the quoted shipping time, and we will do whatever we can to ascertain the cause of the problem. Since July 2004, we have yet to lose a shipment in transit, so it is very likely the package will show up eventually.
International Shipments
All international orders are shipped with Customs documentation per international agreements and US law. It is our policy to declare the full sale value of your order on all customs forms. Doing otherwise violates both US law and the laws of your country.
All shipments will be made through US Postal Service. The buyer is responsible for customs clearing fees and any taxes or duties. These will be collected by the delivering carrier. Please consult with the postal or customs authority in your country for the procedure and rates.
Product Warranty
All assembled electronic products are guaranteed to function properly upon shipment to your location. If a device does not work properly when you receive it, please return it and we will reimburse you for all costs incurred that are directly related to the purchase of the ECU and send a verified functioning unit if we determine the failure to be our fault.
We DO NOT cover:
Damage that occurs after connecting an ECU to power incorrectly or configuring outputs incorrectly
Injector flyback circuits damaged by excessive loading or improper PWM settings
Overheated ignition modules resulting from excessive dwell or improper signal inversion settings in the ECU
Damage to your engine as a result of reckless tuning practices (i.e. full boost and/or RPM on an untuned ECU)
In other words, what we provide is a guarantee that your RS Autosport product will treat you right for as long as you own it, as long as you treat it right. This warranty is non-transferrable.
Bear in mind that MegaSquirt is an experimental, hobbyist-oriented product that should not be used in applications where serious injury might result from engine failure, such as in aircraft. Fuel injection systems should be specifically engineered and thoroughly tested for critical applications.
Refunds
All products can be returned within a minimum of 30 days or as long as the specific product has not been removed from our product line. Electronic devices (including MegaSquirt ECUs) must not be removed from their bubble wrap bags, or they CANNOT be returned. All other returns must not show visible wear, dust accumulation, etc... in other words, keep the products in their plastic baggies until you are ready to use them. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Returning Products for Warranty Repair or Refund
Prior to returning a product to RS Autosport for any reason, an RMA number must be obtained through our RMA request form (click here). Shipping addresses, the terms of the repair work, etc. will be communicated to you, along with an RMA number, after we process the request. The RMA number must be written on the outside of the box in large letters. Materials sent to us without an RMA number visible on the outside of the box may be returned unopened.
